late spring/early summer it's time to get busy and start putting things
back together.
While the chill's still in the air it is a good time to start indoors.
We begin by building the missing wall from the front office. You could
tell from the floor that there used to be a wall there.
Then it was on to the trim. Every single window sill had a 4" chunk
taken out of it so that the previous owners could brace their shelving
units. We performed a little magic by filling in the chunks with existing
trim and reconfigured the places we got the replacement parts from
with a newer somewhat symetrical flow of modern sized wood trim.
Next on to the floor. Scrape, Soak, Scrape, Sand, and
finally Stain & Polyurethane. More trim work, paint touch ups and detail
work then back outside. It's time to paint the soffit that was repaired
last fall.
