Up until this time we did all the work ourselves but the roof as you'll recall. Time to speed up the process and get ready to open up and welcome customers.

The parking lot was all weeded over the fence was caving in and the sidewalk needed to be redone. For years the vacant lot was used as a wash out area for concrete trucks and it was full of random chunks of concrete.

We were planning on an October opening. We searched around for the right sidewalk person, (who knew, sand, concrete and water was so expensive?!). He came and got everything tore up just great and then disappeared for a couple of weeks, didn't return phone calls so we ended up finishing ourselves.

So we're just getting over that and we order the gravel for the parking lot and the delivery person starts dumping the stone right next to the building...yeah you guessed it...the truck fits under the overhang but when you raise the dumper. . .just like a can opener on the gutter. Fortunately our roofer knew a craftsman that could refabricate it and all is good.

Should I tell you the part where he came back with another load of stone and pulled all the electrical out of the building????Naw, just think of this story when you think you're having a bad day.
